The Wisconsin Badgers basketball program was slated to play the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday. However, due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the Northwestern program, the game was canceled. The Big Ten was working with both teams to find a date to reschedule. It was announced that the game would be rescheduled to play on Monday afternoon.
#Badgers story is up. UW at Northwestern….2:30 p.m. on Monday…then UW gets to hustle to Maryland for a Wednesday night dinner date with the Terps. https://t.co/opdqoGnSX6

Wisconsin Badgers Basketball To Play Northwestern on Monday
The Badgers will travel to Illinois to play the Wildcats on Monday at 2:30 pm. This only delays the game a couple of days. The Big Ten and the teams must have decided that it was easier to reschedule the game sooner rather than later. It helps that Madison and Evanston are fairly close meaning the Badgers do not have to travel far. However, this does not give the Badgers much time before their next matchup. After this game, the Badgers head to Maryland to take on the Terrapins on Wednesday night. This will be a good test of the recovery skills of the team.
Part of sports is overcoming adversity and being flexible with change. The Wisconsin Badgers basketball program probably won’t complain about a little extra rest as some players recover from injuries. Even with the two games close together, the Badgers are loving the little extra time to prepare.
