The Regional Finals are set to begin on Saturday, October 22nd for high school volleyball, but they’ll begin with one top seed missing. There weren’t a ton of upsets in Thursday night’s regional volleyball action, however, one of which leaves a sectional in Division 4 wide open. Let’s take a look at the biggest upsets from Thursday night!
Division 1
#10 Superior def. #7 Menominee
NOTE: #3 Muskego vs. #6 Kenosha Indian Trail will be played at 1PM on Saturday
Division 2
#6 Platteville def. #3 Wisconsin Dells
Two #5 Seeds Advanced: Shawano and West Salem
NOTE: #4 Port Washington hosts #5 Grafton on Friday, October 21st at 4PM. Short turnaround for the winner as they’ll play at #1 Kettle Moraine Lutheran the next night at 7PM.
Division 3
#6 Darlington def. #3 River Ridge
#6 Brillion def. #3 Valders
Three #5 Seeds Advanced: Spring Valley, Southern Door and Dominican
Division 4
#4 Lena def. #1 Suring (25-20, 16-25, 25-12, 23-25, 15-11)
#6 Turtle Lake def. #3 Thorp
#7 Belmont def. #2 Southwestern
#3 Florence def. #2 Niagara
#3 Royall def. #2 Hillsboro
