The St. Louis Cardinals are promoting Masyn Winn, MLB Pipeline’s 32nd ranked prospect, to the big leagues.  He was the club’s second round pick in the 2020 draft and will be the third player from that year’s draft to get MLB playing time.  Star rookie Jordan Walker and outfielder Alec Burleson are the other two players.

Shortstop Masyn Winn is being promoted to the big leagues by the St. Louis Cardinals (MLB News).

21 year old righty Masyn Winn will be joining the Cardinals and should get a shot to showcase his skills over the final six weeks of the regular season.  Previously he had been putting together a solid season in Triple-A as he had a .288/.359/.474 slash line with 18 home runs and 61 runs batted in.

Teammate Jordan Walker said that Maysn Winn “has every tool imaginable, so he’s going to do great up here.”  Meanwhile manager Oliver Marmol described him as an electric player.

“He’s one of the most exciting players I’ve seen in a while, and I am thrilled that he is coming up, and we’ll get a chance to see it up here.  This is an electric player, for sure.”

There is a lot of hope that Masyn Winn will produce and be an impact player for the St. Louis Cardinals for several years to come.  His big league journey should begin Friday against the New York Mets.
