Packers get a boost with offensive weapon set to return
The Green Bay Packers had bad news Wednesday when reports came out that wide receiver Romeo Doubs would be out in Week 11. The Packers have been dealing with injuries to their wide receiver unit all season. Healthy wide receivers made the difference in the Packers’ win over the Dallas Cowboys last week, as Christian Watson returned from concussion protocol to have a three-touchdown game. The Packers will have another offensive weapon back against the Tennessee Titans.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Packers will have Randall Cobb activated for the Thursday Night Football contest.
#Packers WR Randall Cobb is set to return after about 4 and 1/2 weeks following a high-ankle sprain. He'll be activated and should play tonight, per @TomPelissero https://t.co/SQNjAu9kCJ

Cobb will add stretch the Titans’ defense secondary even more than the Cowboys had to deal with last week. Cobb is one of quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets. He had 18 receptions for 257 yards before injuring his ankle against the New York Jets. Cobb went to the injured reserve following the Packers’ loss to the Jets.
The Packers enter Thursday night’s game with a 4-6 record. If the Packers can beat the Titans in Week 11, the team would find themselves back in the playoff hunt on a “mini-bye” week before playing the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football in Week 12. The following two games following the Eagles are very winnable. The Packers play the lowly Chicago Bears (3-7) in Week 13 and the struggling Los Angeles Rams (3-6) in Week 14.
