The Green Bay Packers are going to have a long offseason as everybody waits on the decision by Aaron Rodgers. In the meantime, there are plenty of intriguing options for Green Bay with its first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Green Bay holds the 15th overall pick, and they could add another first or two depending on what a potential Aaron Rodgers blockbuster looks like. Charles McDonald of Yahoo Sports dropped a new mock draft, and he has the Packers selecting Ohio State star WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba with the 15th pick.

Here’s what McDonald said after mocking JSN to the Packers:

Smith-Njigba is a smaller wide receiver than the Packers usually add to their team, but they need talent at wideout. Smith-Njigba could be the eventual Randall Cobb replacement for Green Bay.

Times are going to be changing in Green Bay, especially if Rodgers leaves, and veteran WR Randall Cobb is likely done with the franchise.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a sensational year in 2021, finishing with 1,259 yards and six scores on 80 catches, but it was his Rose Bowl performance that showed how dangerous he can be — that was with Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson on the same team.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba finished the Rose Bowl with 347 Rec yds, a new bowl record and the 5th most in a game in FBS history.

If the Packers grab Smith-Njigba in the first round, it would give them a tremendous wide receiver corps of Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Smith-Njigba. That’s a young, talented WR room that could be catching passes from Jordan Love, or Aaron Rodgers, depending on how things play out for Green Bay.
