Jordan Love, the Green Bay Packers’ first-round pick in 2020, is heading into the fourth year of his rookie contract. For months, there have been rumors that Love wants to begin starting games for the Packers. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, after sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for two seasons, Love reportedly wants the Packers to choose between him and the future Hall of Fame quarterback.

Ian Rapoport Says Jordan Love Just Wants to Play
In a segment on The NFL Network, Rapoport stated that the Packers’ backup quarterback just wants to play:
The @NFLGameDay Notebook with @MikeGarafolo and @TomPelissero: The future of DeAndre Hopkins should clear up soon; #Ravens QB Lamar Jackson will be as involved as he wants in the OC hire; Dan Quinn's coaching candidacy is picking up; #Packers QB Jordan Love just wants to play. pic.twitter.com/bklsHyPHUA

Of course, the Packers (and the rest of the NFL) are awaiting a decision from Aaron Rodgers on whether or not he plans to play in 2023. If Rodgers does return, Love could request a trade.

Love wasn’t on the practice squad as a rookie. He was the third QB and didn’t dress all year but remained on the 53-man roster
