Brian Gutekunst nailed the 2022 draft. Regardless of how you feel about his drafting overall, this class looks special. Already, many of the players are making real contributions to the team. Quay Walker looks like a long-term starter. Devonte Wyatt has shown flashes of being great. Zach Tom and Romeo Doubs look solid and everyone knows what Christian Watson has done over the past four weeks. There is one other rookie that is making an impact. Packers rookie Kingsley Enagbare is exceeding expectations this year.

Packers Rookie Kingsley Enagbare Is Exceeding Expectations
Once Rashan Gary went down with an ACL injury, many wondered where the pass rush would come from. Enagbare was on the team but being a fifth-round pick, not many people had high expectations. He has been making the most of his opportunity. According to PFF, Enagbare is first in pressure rate among the 2022 rookie class. This includes two top-5 picks in Aiden Hutchinson and Kayvon Thibodeaux. His pressure rate of 16.1 percent is shattering any expectations people had for him.
Enagbare’s Play Might Be A Factor In Offseason Decisions
The Packers have a lot of decisions to make in the offseason and the play of their young players could have an impact on those decisions. With Enagbare playing well, the Packers could look to cut Preston Smith to save a large chunk of cap room and not lose production. Then, they could look to build edge depth in the draft. It is never fun to have to cut players who have done so much for the franchise but if the Packers can save cap room and get the same production, they probably will.
Packers rookie Kingsley Enagbare has shattered any expectations this year. When he was selected in the fifth round, many expected him to be a project and that he would contribute in a couple of years. He is making an immediate impact and looks like another home run for Brian Gutekunst.
