Aaron Rodgers has a much older body than any of his New York Jets teammates. One teammate let him hear about it.
The 39-year-old quarterback looks more like a coach, at least age-wise, on the Jets staff than he does as an NFL quarterback. That’s even more the case in the preseason, as Rodgers wore near identical clothing to the staff during Jets warmups before their matchup against the Cleveland Browns last Thursday.

HBO’s Hard Knocks was there for the game, filming the warmup. They caught a funny moment in warmups between Rodgers and backup quarterback Zach Wilson. In a clip circulating on Twitter, head coach Robert Saleh told Rodgers that Wilson’s “guns” looked good.

Saleh was referencing Wilson’s bulky biceps. Rodgers told Saleh that Wilson asked Rodgers how much he could pay Rodgers to wear elastic armbands. Rodgers said Wilson didn’t have enough in his bank account to afford it.
As Wilson was warming up, Rodgers, conscious that cameras could read his lips, covered his mouth with his hands and yelled at Wilson to “let those sleeves down.” (Evidently, Hard Knocks can get the meaning without seeing Rodgers’ lips move.)
Saleh laughed and said Wilson looked great. Wilson ran over to Saleh and Rodgers and said, “The guy in front of me has nothing to show, so I figured I might as well let ’em go.”

The guy in front of Wilson, of course, is Rodgers. And that won’t change despite how grand Wilson can grow his biceps this season.

Wilson will need to learn the mental aspect of the game from Rodgers in the next two seasons. That part of his development was lacking in his first two seasons with the Jets. Which is why they brought in Rodgers.
These funny moments are why everyone is excited the Jets are featured on Hard Knocks this year. It should be a classic season.
