An NFC North coach recently made a striking comment about the division after the Green Bay Packers traded Aaron Rodgers in April. They seem glad to enter the Jordan Love era.
Rodgers’ record in the NFC North is 59-24-1. He won eight division championships. It’s no wonder coaches would be worried about playing the Packers with Rodgers under center.
Coach happy to play the Green Bay Packers with Jordan Love
According to Jeremy Fowler with ESPN, a coach in the NFC North commented on what they think of Rodgers’ capabilities this year. The coach said Rodgers is still dangerous, and they’re glad they’re not in Green Bay.
“I’m so glad to have him out of the division,” a coach from the NFC North said. “He’s still one of the quarterbacks that you hate to face.”
The clear implication from that coach, there isn’t much respect for Love in the division. It shouldn’t be a surprise coaches think the Packers are an easier matchup with an untested Love versus Rodgers.
Love will become a full-time starter this season, his fourth in the NFL. He’s only started in one game, a loss where the offense scored seven points. There’s no reason for Love to have that respect yet.
Rodgers had to earn his respect after the Packers traded Brett Favre to the New York Jets. Teams around the NFC North were glad Favre was in New York. But Rodgers quickly made their divisional opponents think again.
Love’s first start against an NFC North opponent in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears. Love will have a chance to put some fear into the division if he can get a win over the Packers’ rival.

“The coach said Rodgers is still dangerous and they’re glad they’re not in Green Bay anymore”. So Rodgers is a part of the alphabet community now? His pronouns are bow they/them? Highly unlikely. And idk how anyone takes that comment as a sign of disrespect towards Love? It’s just a sign of mad respect for Rodgers.
