NFL News: DeAndre Hopkins has been one of the most talked-about names during the NFL’s 2023 off-season.  The Arizona Cardinals released the All-Pro wide receiver during OTAs.  The veteran wide receiver has already taken visits with the New England Patriots and the Tennessee Titans.  The Titans even had a contract offer on the table before he left Tennessee.  DeAndre Hopkins sent a message to the wide receiving room he will be joining (likely) in the near future.

DeAndre Hopkins Tweeted on Tuesday “Whoever’s in my future wide receiver group.  I promise I will make your job easy.”

DeAndre Hopkins named five quarterbacks in the past he was interested in playing for in 2023.  The Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and Kansas City Chiefs were thought to be the most logical places for Hopkins to wind up. The 31-year-old wide receiver wants to play with a contending team. Unfortunately for Hopkins, many of his preferred destinations are not interested in paying his wished salary this season.

Could The Green Bay Packers Still Target DeAndre Hopkins For Jordan Love?

The Packers could be an upgrade for DeAndre Hopkins if general manager Brian Gutekunst wants to be aggressive in the wide receiver market.  Head coach Matt LaFleur has said he’d prefer the Packers have a veteran wide receiver for Jordan Love to throw to.  Love would certainly benefit from Hopkins’ big frame to target in pressure situations.

Early in the 2023 off-season, the Green Bay Packers were even the favorite to land Hopkins.  The Packers currently have more than $16 million in cap space.  The ability to sign a veteran wide receiver is certainly there.
