The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday they had released wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. He was considered a trade target for a few teams this offseason, including the Green Bay Packers. Hopkins appears to want to play for a Super Bowl contender this season. With that being the case, the Packers probably aren’t his top choice to sign with. But anything can happen.
DeAndre Hopkins wants to play with these five guys
Hopkins recently named a handful of quarterbacks he’d like to be teamed up with in 2023. Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, and Justin Herbert made his top list. Here are the top three team options for the highly coveted 30-year-old playmaker.
3. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens already grabbed one of the top wide receiver free agents this offseason when they signed Odell Beckham Jr. Adding DeAndre Hopkins to the bunch would add even more firepower to the Ravens’ offense. The Ravens are looking to contend for a Super Bowl this season after Jackson signed a new contract this offseason.
Beckham and Hopkins on the field could help make life a lot simpler for rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers, who the Ravens took in the first round. The team has put a lot into the passing game this offseason already; it would be up to Jackson to deliver in a big way with Hopkins as a target.
