Milwaukee Brewers ace Corbin Burnes is a hot topic across MLB trade rumors. The former Cy Young award winner has one and a half years of team control remaining and is likely out of the price range for the small market Brewers in regards to a long term extension. Given the fact that Josh Hader was traded by Milwaukee when in a similar situation there is a lot of speculation that it could be Burnes’ turn to be traded this summer.
Numerous MLB insiders have provided their thoughts on what the Brewers will do with Corbin Burnes this summer, but nothing is more definitive than hearing it from their General Manager. In a recent sit down with Adam McCalvy Matt Arnold made it clear that he is not trading his ace.

In addition to asking about trading Corbin Burnes, Adam McCalvy also asked if trading Willy Adames was a possibility. Matt Arnold revealed that this is not even a possibility.
“We’re not looking to move any of those guys. They’re huge parts of our team right now. Those are guys we believe will help us this year and help us with our goal of trying to win a World Series here in Milwaukee.”
“I’m sure that we’ll get phone calls on these guys, because they’re very good. But that’s not something we’re considering.”
