MLB News: The Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies played an extra inning ball game on Tuesday, August 8. During the 10th inning two separate Brewers pitchers walked three consecutive batters, with the bases loaded, and without throwing a strike. This made MLB history.

The Colorado Rockies three consecutive bases loaded walks against the Milwaukee Brewers made MLB history (MLB News).
According to OptaSTATS, since pitches were first tracked in 1988 no MLB team had drawn three consecutive bases-loaded walks without a strike being thrown. This means that the Rockies are the first team to ever accomplish this and that the Brewers were on the wrong side of history.
During the 10th inning, Brewers pitcher Andrew Chafin got the walk parade started by issuing a four pitch walk to Cole Tucker that plated the go-ahead run. Milwaukee then made a pitching change and brought in rookie Abner Uribe. His appearance began with a pitch clock violation and then seven consecutive pitches outside of the zone to plate two more runs.
It was overall a disastrous inning for Brewers pitchers, but excellent plate discipline and situational awareness from Rockies hitters. Regardless this bizarre sequence was MLB history and it may be something that is not seen again for a very long time.
