The Milwaukee Bucks just got embarrassed on their own home floor by a now 18-20 Utah Jazz side. In the end, the Bucks lost by 16 points, 132-116, but the final score is not a proper reflection of how poorly the Bucks played on Monday night.
The fact that they were down by 33 points in the first half is perhaps a better representation of Milwaukee’s deplorable effort against the Jazz, as well as how bad they’ve been in this ongoing slump.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans Turn on Their Team
At one point in the game, the home fans at the Fiserv Forum started booing their squad — an act that even Giannis Antetokounmpo himself approved of. According to the former back-to-back MVP, he would have booed himself as well.
The fans on Twitter were, unsurprisingly, even more savage with their criticism:
It’s hard for me to muse with these embarrassing L’s

We tried? NO. That performance at home court isn’t acceptable. Back to back losses at home, no shame

THIS TEAM IS AWFUL

The Milwaukee Bucks franchise ruined my entire life, I thought surely we would blow out one of the worst teams that's also rebuilding no problem, I gambled every single penny I had, I sold my house, my car, and all of mine and my family's non essential organs, and I bet it all on

That's it I'm officially becoming a Pistons fan, I've decided to leave the Milwaukee Bucks in order to watch a team that actually knows how to win

THIS IS EMBARRASSING FOR US REAL FANS

Needless to say, Bucks fans on social media weren’t at all pleased with what they saw from their team on Monday night.
Boston Celtics Up Next
Milwaukee’s next game is arguably the toughest matchup they’ll face all season long. This comes in the form of a highly-anticipated showdown against the league-best Boston Celtics.
Currently, the Bucks are just 3.5 games behind Boston for the No. 1 seed in the East. However, this fact hasn’t given Milwaukee supporters much confidence heading into Thursday’s contest:
I can’t take a loss to the Celtics again
— GiannisMuse 🦌 (@GiannisMuse) January 9, 2024
if we lose to the celtics it’s over
— ✞ ³ (@OwnHimMarjon) January 9, 2024
I just cringe thinking of Thursday’s game

The Celtics are gonna teach y’all how to play basketball and oh dear I won’t be wasting my time watching
— Bucks Win (@greekfreakwin) January 9, 2024
It’s not really a must-win game for Milwaukee on Thursday, but you can be sure that a loss against the Celtics will sting pretty badly.
