Patrick Beverley did not join the Milwaukee Bucks to make new friends. He is, of course, expected to get along well with his teammates. However, Beverley comes in with a no-nonsense mindset — one that he knows might rub some people the wrong way.
Be that as it may, Pat Bev knows this is exactly why Milwaukee brought him in in the first place.
Patrick Beverley Not Making Compromises After Milwaukee Bucks Trade
Beverley is a unique individual — both with the way he plays the game and the type of player and person he is off the basketball court. He’s not the easiest person to get along with, and the fact that he’s built a handful of personal rivalries through the years is a testament to this fact.
“The way I go about things, I’m not going to make everyone happy,” Beverley said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I’m going to upset some people, the way I hold myself to a high standard.
“I expect everyone else to do the same. My approach is very strong, until you get to know me. But when you get to know me, you understand, hey, the only thing I want to do is win.”
As he said, Beverley may be a tough shell to crack, but once you are able to do so, it’s going to be easy to get on the same page as him. After all, the most important thing for this man is winning, and this is the same mindset he expects from everyone around him.
Knowing how the Bucks operate, Pat Bev is going to fit in just fine.
