It’s official. Patrick Beverley is now headed to the Milwaukee Bucks. The team pulled the trigger on a trade deal with the Philadelphia 76ers just before the trade deadline, sending Cameron Payne and a second-round pick to Philly in exchange for Pat Bev.
The Bucks officially announced the trade on Tuesday night.
Milwaukee Bucks Officially Announce Patrick Beverley

The Bucks took to Twitter to make it all official. They proceeded to welcoming the newest member of the team after the NBA approved the transaction.

Beverley has already reacted to the massive news, and the 35-year-old seems excited to link up with his new teammates. He has a bit of history with Damian Lillard, but that should now be water under the bridge as both players aim to help lead the Bucks to a championship this season.
Bucks Fans Want Patrick Beverley Now

Beverley is one of the most polarizing players in the NBA today, and as you may have guessed, this move has garnered all sorts of reactions on social media.
More than a few Bucks fans could not help but notice the timing of the announcement. The supporters accused the Bucks PR team of trying to distract them from Thursday night’s shellacking at the hands of one of Pat Bev’s former teams, the Minnesota Timberwolves:
Good timing
Distract us from what’s happening to us right now💀
— ³⁴ (@GiannisWorld) February 9, 2024
We could use him on the court rn
— Sportz (@SportzGG) February 9, 2024
Good choice to take our attention away from this disaster of a game.

Can he suit up now and replace Malik
— Robert Riebe (@RobertRiebe1) February 9, 2024
How soon can you get here Pat? We need some defense and a true dawg!

As of writing, The Bucks are down 117-94 at the mid-way point of the fourth quarter. This one’s a done deal.
Some other fans, however, also took notice of the Photoshopped image of Beverley wearing the No. 21 jersey. In case you forgot, the last player who dawned that number for Milwaukee was Jrue Holiday. A number of supporters didn’t agree with the notion:
Can he not wear 21 🙏
— TurpinTime (@TurpinTimez) February 9, 2024
i like the trade but he just can’t wear 21
— Alex (@Im_a_memee) February 9, 2024
Disrespectful to Jrue
— SportzSurveyz⚡️📊 (@SportzSurveyz) February 9, 2024
make him take jrues number off

There’s obviously still a lot of love in Milwaukee for Holiday.
