Patrick Beverley had another impactful game on Thursday night as the Milwaukee Bucks took down the Charlotte Hornets to remain undefeated since the All-Star break. The new Bucks recruit flirted with a double-double in 24 minutes off the bench, finishing with nine points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
At this point, it is making more and more evident that Pat Bev is adjusting really well to life in Milwaukee.
Patrick Beverley Shouts Out Ex-Milwaukee Bucks Coach Mike Budenholzer
As it turns out, former Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer has played an integral role in Beverley’s transition with his new team. It’s not as if the veteran guard has been training with Coach Bud, but apparently, the former shot-caller helped Beverley find his new home in Milwaukee.
“Shout out coach Bud,” Beverley said on a recent episode of his podcast as he spoke about his new house (h/t Christopher Kuhagen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel). “I literally just moved in two days ago.”
Beverley and Budenholzer haven’t crossed paths during their respective NBA careers, but this didn’t stop the 54-year-old coach from giving Beverley a key assist off the court. After all, Coach Bud spent five years in Milwaukee during his reign as the team’s head coach, so he obviously knows a thing or two about the city.
For Beverley, finding a proper place of residence in a new city certainly presents its challenges. It’s great that he’s now settled with a new home, which is one major non-basketball aspect he can now take his mind off of. Now that that’s out of the way, Pat Bev can focus even more on being the best player and teammate he can be for his new team.
