Damian Lillard did all he could for the Milwaukee Bucks in their first-round series against the Indiana Pacers. This included having to play through what appears to be a significant Achilles injury in Game 6.
It did not work out, though. Despite leaving it all on the floor, Lillard just didn’t have enough to help his team stave off elimination in what turned out to be a season-ending loss to Indiana in Game 6.
Dame knows, however, that he will be back.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Damian Lillard’s Strong Declaration
Lillard took to social media not long after Milwaukee’s season officially came to an end. He dropped a cryptic message wherein he acknowledged the “adversity” he is currently going through. Dame virtually promised, however, that he intends to bounce back from this as strong as ever:

While Lillard did not disclose what exactly he was referring to in his post, it would probably be safe to assume that he’s talking about Milwaukee’s recent heartbreak against the Pacers.
As he implied, however, he was built for these moments, and he remains confident in his ability to battle through adversity.
Year 1 did not deliver the desired results for Dame in Milwaukee. However, this should only motivate him even more to be back with a vengeance come next season.
