The Milwaukee Bucks made it back-to-back wins on Wednesday night with a crucial 117-99 victory over the No. 5 seed Orlando Magic. This was Milwaukee’s first game without Giannis Antetokounmpo after the eight-time All-Star suffered a troubling calf injury against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.
At this point, the Bucks will need to navigate the rest of the regular season without their talisman.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Giannis Antetokounmpo to Sit Out Last Three Regular-Season Games
Ahead of Wednesday’s matchup against Orlando, the Bucks announced on Twitter that the results of Antetokounmpo’s MRI were relatively positive. The injury has been deemed as a calf strain, which will now force Giannis to sit out the team’s last three remaining games of the regular season:

All things considered, this is a great development for the Bucks. The worst-case scenario would have been a torn calf, which would have meant that Giannis was done for the season.
While Giannis and the Bucks may have dodged a bullet here, they aren’t out of the woods just yet. The former back-to-back MVP has no timetable to return, which casts doubt on his availability for the start of the postseason.
The Playoffs start on April 20, and right now, Antetokounmpo will be in a tight race to be ready for their first-round series against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.
