Milwaukee Bucks veteran Patrick Beverley has been tuned in to Caitlin Clark and her iconic run with the Iowa Hawkeyes. This young lady pretty much transformed the women’s game with her now-legendary collegiate career, which naturally, has earned her all sorts of praise.
At the same time, however, the hate campaign against arguably the greatest female college player this game has ever seen has been as loud as ever.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Patrick Beverley Rips Caitlin Clark’s Naysayers
In a recent episode of the Pat Bev Pod, Beverley got into a passionate discussion with co-host Rone about the type of reception Clark has received from the basketball world. Beverley started by stating just how confident he is about Clark’s next step in her career:
“People ask me, ‘Pat Bev, you think her game is going to translate to the WNBA?’ I say, ‘Hell yes,'” Beverley said with conviction.
It was then Rone’s turn to call out WNBA players, former UConn Huskies stars, as well as anyone and everyone out there who has been trying to play down the greatness Clark has achieved during her four years in Iowa. Beverley echoed his co-host’s thoughts by pointing out that Caitlin is literally the greatest scorer in NCAA history:
“Listen, it shouldn’t even be you explaining yourself about this,” Beverley told Rone. “She has the most points. Boys and girls.”
Needless to say, the Bucks guard is a fan of Clark.
Patrick Beverley Compares Caitlin Clark to Stephen Curry
Pat Bev wasn’t done. He then decided to use Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry and the former back-to-back MVP’s journey in the NBA as a comparison to what Clark could achieve now that she’s turning pro. According to Beverley, Caitlin has that same juice that Steph has:
“That comes with greatness, too,” he said. “I promise you, motherf**kers when they drafted Steph Curry, they said, ‘Steph Curry, man, that s**t ain’t going to work.’ … 15 years later, NBA history 3-point shooter. There’s some s**t you can’t teach. Touch and shot. You can’t teach that. [Clark] got that s**t.”
Why they hating on Caitlin like that though??? pic.twitter.com/ZHR5904kgq
