Pat Bev kept it short and simple. He did not claim to have a special relationship with Walton, but the Bucks guard was around the man enough for him to share a brief observation about what it was like being in the presence of the two-time NBA champion.

Walton, who was the Portland Trail Blazers’ No. 1 overall pick in the 1974 NBA Draft, had a decorated college career at UCLA before he turned pro. The 6-foot-11 center carried on with his legacy in the NBA, with his best season coming in the 1977-78 campaign when he was named league MVP.
Walton won his first championship in Portland in 1977. He took home his second ring when he joined the Boston Celtics during the latter part of his career. Walton was named the league’s Sixth Man of the Year during his memorable title run with the Celtics during the 1985-86 season.
RIP to a legend.
