Milwaukee Bucks veteran Patrick Beverley has been named to the NBA’s All-Defensive squad three times in his career. The 35-year-old missed out on this honor this past season, but there’s no denying that defensively, Pat Bev still brings so much to the table for his team.
The All-Defensive snub also hasn’t prevented Beverley from coming up with his all-time starting five for the best defenders this game has ever seen.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Patrick Beverley’s All-Time All-Defense Team
In a recent episode of The Pat Bev Pod, the 6-foot-2 combo guard named five legends to his all-time All-Defense squad. According to Beverley, these five icons stand out as the best defensive gems in the history of basketball.
They are Gary Payton, Scottie Pippen, Dikembe Mutombo, Ben Wallace, and Dennis Rodman.

That’s a pretty elite list, and it would be hard to question any one of those former stars’ placement in Beverley’s all-time best defenders list.
As Beverley’s co-host pointed out, the Bucks guard left no room for any currently active players on his list. It is worth noting that he also left out former Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Rudy Gobert, who was recently awarded his fourth Defensive Player of the Year title for this past season.
