The Milwaukee Bucks had to step it up down the stretch yet again on Monday night against a Chicago Bulls side that would just refuse to lose. Despite their commendable effort, however, the Bulls eventually folded in overtime as the Bucks carved out a 133-129 win at the Fiserv Forum.
It goes without saying, however, that Milwaukee needed every ounce of their clutch play in order to take down Chicago.
Malik Beasley on Milwaukee Bucks’ Play Down the Stretch
Malik Beasley did his bit for the Bucks on Monday. The veteran shooting guard finished with 19 points on a highly efficient 7-of-11 from the field, which included another five triples.
After the game, the 27-year-old spoke out on his team’s execution down the stretch — something that Beasley believes the Bucks have exceled in of late:
“I feel like we’ve been pretty good overall in the clutch as a new team,” Beasley said. “It ain’t always easy to win games. We have high expectations — championship and stuff. Like coach said last night, we got a win. No matter how it’s done, we got it done.
“… We’re ready for late-game situations if need be.”

As Beasley said, a win is a win. It may not have been the prettiest of victories, but the Bucks will still be happy to take the W.
Despite the fact that they have one of the most dangerous rosters in the NBA, the reality is that they’re not going to be blowing out their opponents every single time. On most nights, Milwaukee will need to dig deep to emerge victorious — especially with teams going at them with their best shot every single game.
