DeMar DeRozan did all he could for the Chicago Bulls on Monday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. Despite a heroic effort from the six-time All-Star, however, his masterful performance was put to waste as the Bucks secured a 133-129 overtime victory at the Fiserv Forum.
Be that as it may, it’s hard to discredit DeRozan for his monstrous performance — especially after learning that he just replicated a feat that has only been done by none other than the GOAT himself, Michael Jordan.
DeMar DeRozan Goes Full MJ Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Bulls had to rely heavily on DeRozan on Monday night with star guard Zach LaVine out of commission due to injury. DeRozan responded by producing a season-best performance. He dropped 41 points on 14-of-30 shooting, to go along with two rebounds, 11 assists, three triples, and just two turnovers in 42 minutes of action.
It was also DeRozan who forced overtime with a tough floater with just 3.7 seconds remaining in the game:

After Monday’s masterclass, DeRozan is now the only other player other than MJ to record 40+ points and 10+ assists in a Bulls uniform.

Talk about a big-time performance, right?
DeRozan Reacts to Incredible Feat
DeRozan spoke to reporters after the loss, and he was asked to comment on his latest feat. He was at a bit of a loss for words as he took in this incredible achievement:
“I mean, anything with Michael Jordan in it is a hell of a compliment,” DeRozan said. “A hell of a compliment. You know I never take none of that stuff for granted.”

Clearly, though, DeRozan would have been much happier if the Bulls came home with the W.
