The Milwaukee Bucks did not only log their third straight win on Tuesday night after a hard-fought victory over the Miami Heat, 131-224. Milwaukee came into the game with some extra motivation as they had an opportunity to clinch a quarterfinal berth in the NBA’s In-Season Tournament.
That’s exactly what Milwaukee did by scraping out the win, thereby securing a pristine 4-0 record in East Group B.
Khris Middleton Sounds Off on Milwaukee Bucks’ Win
Khris Middleton played his part in the victory. The veteran finished with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting, to go along with one triple, eight rebounds, and two assists in 23 minutes of action. Middleton also drained two clutch jumpers for Milwaukee down the stretch as he helped lead the Bucks to a win.
After the game, Middleton expressed his delight in the fact that the Bucks are now headed to the knockout stage of the in-season tournament.
“It feels good,” Middleton said. “We completed the task. We got into Vegas. Now, we gotta do a little bit more. It’s exciting times for us to go to Vegas for the first in-season tournament. So we’re happy about that.”

It appears that Middleton hasn’t been fully briefed on the scenario, though. While the Bucks have already clinched the top spot in Group B, they still have to win their upcoming matchup against the New York Knicks in order to secure a spot in Las Vegas.
The Knicks defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday, which got them into the quarterfinal as a wildcard. The Bucks will host New York at the Fiserv Forum in a do-or-die game on December 4 or 5.
