The Milwaukee Bucks secured a huge win on Tuesday night against a shorthanded Miami Heat side, 131-124. Despite the fact that Miami did not have the services of Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro, the Heat still put up a formidable fight against their Eastern Conference rivals.
In the end, however, the Bucks held on to secure their third straight win.
Khris Middleton Saves the Day for Milwaukee Bucks
Khris Middleton did not have a mind-blowing performance for the Bucks on Tuesday. However, the three-time All-Star stepped it up when it mattered the most.
Middleton hit two clutch jumpers for Milwaukee down the stretch as they held off a Miami side that was determined to defend its home court.
After the game, Middleton was asked to share his thoughts on his late-game heroics, to which the 32-year-old had an interesting response:
“I gotta do something,” Middleton said. “I wasn’t helping out at all on defense. I gotta be better on that side. Thankfully, I was able to hit a couple of shots to balance it out.”
In spite of his clutch play on offense, Middleton still called himself out for his deficiencies on the defensive end. Middleton isn’t exactly a defensive specialist, but even he knows that he has to do a better job on that end of the floor.
Khris Middleton Delighted With Win
The Heat made the Bucks work for their win. It wasn’t an easy victory by any means, which is why Middleton is just glad that they were able to withstand Miami’s onslaught:
“I’m just happy we won a tough game,” he said. “We had a lot of guys out and had some guys step up for them. They played well. I think it was a great win for us.”

Jae Crowder remains sidelined due to an adductor injury, while the Bucks lost Pat Connaughton during the game after the veteran injured his ankle. As Middleton said, however, it was a total team effort for the Bucks that led to the win.
