The Green Bay Packers selected offensive lineman Jordan Morgan from Arizona with the 25th overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. This was a good move by the Packers because they do need help on the offensive line for next season. Morgan is a left tackle and he will look to be the next left tackle to replace David Bahktiari for the long haul in the franchise.
With a lot of defensive backs available on the board, it was interesting that the Packers passed up on some players in the 25th spot, but general manager Brian Gutekunst will have a chance to draft some defensive backs in the second round. The Green Bay Packers will own the 41st and 58th overall picks in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
To no surprise, the Packers fanbase had a reaction to when they drafted Jordan Morgan with this first-round selection. Green Bay has usually gone with defense in the first round over the past few seasons, but they decided to go in a different route with this selection.
Bill Belichick on the Pat McAfee show during the NFL Draft said on Thursday night about the Packers taking Morgan by saying:
“This is a good football player, he’s got a good future— there’s no way he was getting out of the first round.”
One of the reasons why the Green Bay Packers made this move is because three other tackles when ahead of Morgan and Green Bay felt like it needed to find its next starting left tackle for a decade.

The Jordan tweet is one of the funniest things will see on the timeline during the 2024 NFL Draft. The Packers made the right pick with Jordan Morgan. It is important to be good in the trenches because Green Bay has a lot of offensive talent in the skills position. They will have a lot of other needs to address on Day 2 and Day 3 in this draft.
