Nope, Giannis Antetokounmpo has not won the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award. At least not yet. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar, however, may have just claimed the next best thing in terms of individual honors in the league.
This is after the seven-time All-Star was announced as the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for December.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo is East Player of the Month
It was announced on Thursday evening that Giannis has been deemed worthy of taking the huge honor of being dubbed the best player in the entire Eastern Conference for games played in the month of December:

Giannis took the award after leading the Bucks to an 11-2 record in December, which included marquee victories over the New York Knicks (twice), the Chicago Bulls, the Indiana Pacers, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Per the Bucks, this is the 10th time in his career that Antetokounmpo has received this massive honor:

In 13 games played for the month, Antetokounmpo put up dizzying averages of 32.5 points on 61.6 percent shooting, 11.5 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.3 steals in 35.6 minutes per contest.
Giannis will obviously want to keep his foot on the gas for January and beyond as he continues to build on what could potentially be the third MVP award in his career.
Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been named as Giannis’ counterpart in the West after an euqally impressive run in December.
