Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo recently went on a trip to Nigeria to get back to his roots. The Greek-born two-time NBA MVP is also half-Nigerian, and it was a homecoming of sorts for the Bucks talisman in his recent trip to the motherland.
As expected, Giannis had a lot of fun on the excursion as well, including purchasing a fake jersey of himself in the market.
Giannis Spots Fake Milwaukee Bucks Jersey
As Giannis’ bus was traversing the streets of Lagos Island in Nigeria, the seven-time All-Star spotted a shop that was selling some NBA jerseys. He immediately asked the bus to stop as he declared his desire to buy himself a souvenir.
Being the frugal man that he is, Antetokounmpo had to negotiate with the seller as he attempted to get the jersey at a much lower price. His charm did not work, though, and he still ended up paying full price for the shirt:

7,000 Nigerian Narra is roughly $8. That’s still a heck of a bargain considering how the original ones retail at around $130 in the pro shop.
The best part about this entire encounter is how the seller did not even know who he was selling the jersey to. The man was able to properly identify the jersey as Giannis Antetokounmpo, but he had no clue he was actually talking to the man himself.
