Not only did the Milwaukee Bucks go home empty-handed after Wednesday’s tough loss to the Boston Celtics, but it now appears that Giannis Antetokounmpo came out of the game with a bit of an issue.
At this point, the Bucks talisman is in danger of missing Friday’s bout against the Washington Wizards after being listed on the official injury report.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Dealing With Illness
As it turns out, Giannis contracted some sort of bug over the past couple of days. This has resulted in the former back-to-back MVP being listed on the injury report with a non-COVID illness.
The good news here is that he is probable to play, which means that he could battle through the sickness in order to help his team against the Wizards.
This also means that Giannis has probably been resting up throughout the Thanksgiving holiday now that he’s feeling a bit under the weather. Hopefully, his condition does not get worse overnight.
It is worth noting that during Wednesday’s game, Celtics star Jayson Tatum was also a doubt to play because of an illness. He ended up playing through it against the Bucks. Giannis noted after the game, though, that he already had a cold during the contest.
The Bucks will hope to have their superstar ready for Friday’s contest. These two teams faced off on Monday in Washington, with Antetokounmpo absolutely dominating the Wizards with 42 points on 20-of-23 shooting.
