Giannis Antetokounmpo is widely considered one of the most dominant players in the NBA today. On Thursday night against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar has an opportunity to achieve a scoring feat that will further strengthen this claim.
That is, of course, under the assumption that Antetokounmpo will actually suit up on Thursday night.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Imminent Scoring Feat
There are just three games on Thursday night as the entire league gears up for the much-awaited NBA All-Star break. One of those games pits the Bucks against the Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum.
All eyes will be Giannis on Thursday as he attempts to be the league leader in points in Milwaukee’s final game before the mid-season break. If he scores at least 23 points tonight, Antetokounmpo will surpass Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for the most points in the NBA entering the break:

Right now, Shai has 1,649 points to his name. The Thunder, however, played their final game before the All-Star break on Tuesday — a 127-113 victory over the Orlando Magic.
Giannis has currently amassed 1,627 points, which is 22 behind Gilgeous-Alexander’s mark. He needs 23 tonight to surpass SGA, which should be a walk in the park for the two-time MVP against an extremely shorthanded Grizzlies side.
Will Giannis Play Vs. Grizzlies?
The big question, however, is if Giannis will play on Thursday night. He was downgraded to questionable due to a right knee injury, and his scoring feat could be at risk if the Bucks opt to give their superstar the night off.
Either way, regardless if Antetokounmpo achieves the feat or not on Thursday, the fact that he’s in contention for the title of the NBA’s scoring king (again) just speaks volumes of his dominance on the offensive end.
UPDATE: Giannis will play against the Grizzlies:
