It wasn’t just Milwaukee Bucks vet Patrick Beverley who was making his first trip back in Philly on Sunday. Even more significant was Doc Rivers returning to face his former team in front of his former supporters since he was fired from his post as the Philadelphia 76ers head coach this past summer.
Well, the Sixers fans made their feelings about Coach Doc abundantly clear the moment the one-time NBA champion coach was announced as the opposition’s coach ahead of Sunday’s tip-off.
Sixers Fans Go Full Savage on Milwaukee Bucks Coach Doc Rivers
Philly fans are some of the most passionate supporters in all of sports, and it comes as no surprise that they went full savage on their former coach. Apparently, there’s not a lot of love for Rivers from the City of Brotherly Love:

Not only did the Sixers not present the 62-year-old with a tribute video, but the fans took it to another level by mercilessly booing Rivers the moment they heard his name announced as the Bucks head coach.
Needless to say, Rivers didn’t exactly leave a lasting legacy in Philadelphia.
In the end, however, it was Rivers and his squad that got the final laugh. The Bucks completely blew out a Joel Embiid-less Sixers side, 119-98.
This marked Philly’s second loss in three games since after the All-Star break, while Milwaukee has now logged back-to-back wins after their impressive 112-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.
