The Milwaukee Bucks’ 128-119 win over the Houston Rockets on Sunday did not have a shortage of action. It was a tightly contested affair, which required a 39-point explosion from Damian Lillard to snap Houston’s five-game winning streak.
One of the most contentious moments of the game came in the final minute of the fourth quarter after Dillon Brooks was ejected from the game for being a bit too overzealous in his conversation with the game official.
Dillon Brooks Tossed in Dying Moments of Loss Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
You just knew that Brooks was going to be involved in some sort of controversy in this one. True enough, with just 38.9 seconds remaining in the ballgame and the Bucks up 125-117, the enigmatic forward got himself tossed for arguing with a game official. This was after Brooks decided to contest a flopping violation that was called against him as he jumped out of bounds while contesting a loose ball.

Brooks clearly disagreed with the referee’s call and he made his feelings known about it.
As you may have seen in the clip above, Rockets head coach Ime Udoka was also ejected during the sequence as he disputed the call.
It was a resentful way to close out the disappointing loss for Houston.
Crew Chief Explains Brooks’ Ejection
Head referee Bill Kennedy shed some light on Brooks’ ejection in the post-game pool report. According to the crew chief, the decision to toss the Rockets forward from the contest stemmed from his profane language toward the referee:
“Brooks was assessed his first technical foul for disrespecting a game official using profanity,” Kennedy said (h/t Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel). “By rule the play was stopped at the 38.9 (-second mark) as we deemed that as the first neutral opportunity following the flopping violation.”
Well, to be honest, that’s just on-brand for Dillon Brooks.
