The Milwaukee Bucks were linked to a myriad of players in free agency this summer. One of them was former Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks, who eventually found his way to the Houston Rockets on a big-money deal.
Houston ended up signing the 27-year-old on a massive four-year, $80 million contract — money that the Bucks clearly could not afford.
Rumored Milwaukee Bucks Target Dillion Brooks Ejected for Groin Hit
It didn’t take long for Brooks to make his mark with his new team. In fact, he was up to his usual antics in his first-ever game for the Rockets. it took the controversial swingman just five minutes into his Houston debut to get himself ejected for a dirty hit on Indiana Pacers center Daniel Theis:

Not only did Brooks get tossed in a preseason game, but he barely put a sweat in before he was forced to take an early shower after his first-quarter ejection.
The Rockets invested a lot of money on Brooks because of what he brings to the table. Whether they like it or not, these types of moments are all part and parcel of his game. This probably won’t be the only time the former Oregon standout gets ejected this season.
Dillon Brooks Fined $25,000 by NBA
To add insult to injury, the NBA announced on Thursday that they’re laying the hammer down on the new Rockets recruit. This comes in the form of a hefty $25,000 fine for Brooks’ “recklessly making contract” with Theis:

The good news for Brooks is that his bank account just took a massive leap after signing a new contract with the Rockets. He can afford the fine.
