There was no shortage of action in the opening half of Sunday’s highly-anticipated NBA All-Star Game. Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard, who was an All-Star starter for the first time in his career, stole the show in the first half to lead all scorers with 22 points on six triples.

Dame got in a bit of back-to-back action with Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant late in the second quarter, resulting in KD hitting Lillard with the infamous “too small” jab after scoring over the Bucks guard.

Fresh off his 3-Point Contest win on Saturday night, Lillard was still feeling hot on Sunday. He caught fire in the first half, hitting no less than six triples in less than 15 minutes of action. Dame hit one of his six treys right in the face of Durant:

Not to be outdone, KD took Lillard to school on the opposite end by dominating the Bucks star on a drive to the basket. Durant had to go full savage on Dame right after scoring the deuce:

The All-Star Game is an attraction for the fans and the players usually come into it with a friendly demeanor. However, these are still NBA stars, so you simply cannot take the competition away from them.

The East All-Stars held a significant lead entering the halftime break, 104-89.
