The Milwaukee Bucks get to rekindle an old flame on Tuesday night when they host a familiar foe in the Miami Heat. These two teams have a lot of history, with Milwaukee’s first-round elimination at the hands of the Heat in last season’s playoffs still fresh in their memories.

For Damian Lillard, it will be another opportunity to face the team that he should have joined last summer. That is, of course, if he is actually able to suit up. With Lillard popping up on the injury report again for Tuesday’s contest, one big question remains: Is Damian Lillard playing tonight vs. the Heat?

It’s good news and bad news for Lillard and the Bucks.

The good news is that according to the official injury report, Dame is probable to play due to inflammation in his left ankle. The injury designation has also changed from the past few games, with Lillard previously listed on the injury report with a left ankle sprain. This likely means that there has been some improvement in the ankle over the past couple of days.

The bad news, however, is that the Bucks are playing on the second night of a back-to-back set, which means that it’s possible the team decides to give him the night off. This was the case for the 33-year-old last Thursday when he sat out the first night of a back-to-back set because of this same issue.

So, with regard to the question of is Damian Lillard playing tonight vs. the Heat, the answer is that it remains likely. However, we will monitor this situation closely if there are any significant developments in the next couple of hours.

UPDATE: Lillard is good to go against the Heat:

All four players listed as probable (Giannis Antetokounmpo, Pat Connaughton, Damian Lillard and Brook Lopez) have all avoided the inactive list.

    Lillard
    Malik Beasley
    Jae Crowder

    Lopez
