Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard stole the show on Sunday night in the much-anticipated NBA All-Star Game. The 33-year-old took home the All-Star Game MVP title after his 39-point explosion led the East to a record-shattering 211-186 blowout win over the West.
The All-Star Game had reverted to the East vs. West showdown this season and Lillard made sure to make his mark in his first appearance as a member of the Bucks.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Makes It Rain
There were more than a few memorable events during Lillard’s eye-opening performance in this year’s iteration of the All-Star game, which incidentally, also included a bit of back-and-forth with Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant early in the game.
Dame was locked in for this one, though, and he just kept his foot in the gas all night long. This resulted in the eight-time All-Star, who was named a starter for the first time in his career this season, finishing with a team-high 39 points on 14-of-26 shooting, 11 triples, three rebounds, six assists, a steal, and zero turnovers in just 27 and a half minutes of action.
One of Lillard’s most memorable moments of the evening came at the mid-way point of the third quarter. The Bucks guard casually pulled up from 51 feet out to sink a wild shot from halfcourt:

He wasn’t done either. Lillard hit not one, but two halfcourt heaves in the same game. His second one came late in the final quarter to end his incredible performance with an exclamation point:

Nothing but net. Again.
