Lillard and Nurkic parted ways with the Blazers at the same time when they were among the players involved in a three-team swap back in September when Portland sent Dame to the Bucks and the Bosnian Beast to the Phoenix Suns.
Damian Lillard Was Already a Legend Before The Blazers Traded Him to the Milwaukee Bucks
Before Lillard made his way to the Milwaukee Bucks, he was a franchise star for the Blazers and played with Nurkic for seven seasons in Portland. Nurkic is one of the players who witnessed firsthand regularly the greatness of Lillard, who spent his first 11 seasons in the NBA with the Trail Blazers.
Many would argue that Lillard isn’t the GOAT of the Blazers franchise because guys like Clyde Drexler and Bill Walton also played for Portland, with Walton even leading the team to an NBA title in 1977.
In any case, Lillard had undeniably left his mark on the Blazers. But now, it’s all about trying to win an NBA championship with the Bucks.
