For the most part, the Milwaukee Bucks can usually rely on Bobby Portis to provide a scoring punch for the second unit. He’s done it many times in the past and he will surely do it again in the future.
This wasn’t the case for the big man on Monday against the Denver Nuggets, though.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Bobby Portis Has Off Night
To be fair to Portis, he still closed in on a double-double in 25 minutes off the bench as the Bucks fell to the reigning champs Nuggets, 113-107. Portis finished with nine points, 12 rebounds, four assists, a steal, a block, and two turnovers in what could be considered a respectable performance from the 6-foot-10 big.
However, what cannot be overlooked is the fact that he went just 2-of-13 from the field against Denver. It was an off shooting night for the 28-year-old, to say the least, as he also took multiple ill-advised shots throughout his time on the floor.
All in all, it was a forgettable outing for the usually reliable Bobby Portis.
Bobby Portis Clowned on Twitter
Portis’ performance against the Nuggets had him trending on Twitter on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it was for all the wrong reasons as the trolls took the opportunity to clown the Bucks vet for his atrocious shooting night:
