Andre Jackson Jr. played just three minutes off the bench on Tuesday in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 131-124 victory over the Miami Heat. He scored just six points on two triples, but there’s no denying that his two treys came at a crucial time for the Bucks in crunch time.
He’s no star, but the former 22-year-old is quickly endearing himself to Bucks fans everywhere.
Milwaukee Bucks Rookie Sounds Off on Win Vs. Heat
After the win, Jackson spoke with Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to share his thoughts on the victory. The rookie spilled on why he and his teammates considered Tuesday’s win as a milestone moment for the squad:
“Just how big of a win that was for us because it is the (NBA In-Season Tournament) and also, we haven’t won a game in Miami in a while,” he said. “I haven’t been a part of the team for those. It’s my first year. So hearing that from other guys, saying that it’s a big win, us going out there to Miami, beating them at their home floor. That was definitely something that I was hearing.”
Andre Jackson Jr has played in some big games, big big, so how was that W at Miami on Tuesday? In comparison?
Reggie Miller said on the broadcast it was like a playoff atmosphere- didn’t he?

In case you were wondering, the last time the Bucks won in South Beach dates all the way back to May 27, 2021. This was in Game 4 of the first round of the playoffs with Milwaukee closing out the Heat with a clean sweep to advance to the East Semis.
Since then, the Heat have gotten their revenge. Miami defended their home court against the Bucks twice in the regular season last term, while also defeating them two games in a row in the playoffs, en route to a 4-1 series win against a Milwaukee side that held the No. 1 seed last season.
Given all their history, it’s no surprise that the Bucks were more than happy to finally get a win on Miami’s home floor.
