Milwaukee Bucks news: The Philadelphia 76ers have been struggling mightily of late. This team has only won once in their last five games, which has a lot to do with the fact that Joel Embiid still remains sidelined with a left knee injury.
Their second-best player, Tyrese Maxey, has been out of commission too of late after being placed under the league’s concussion protocol. The All-Star combo guard finally returned to action on Tuesday in a 106-79 blowout loss to the New York Knicks, but it did not look like he was fully up to speed just yet.
At this point, one pertinent question remains: Is Tyrese Maxey playing tonight vs. the Milwaukee Bucks?
Tyrese Maxey’s Injury Status Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Maxey’s return to action from a four-game absence did little to help the Sixers get out of their funk. He finished with 17 points, two rebounds, and four assists, but it was all for nothing as Philly suffered a brutal 27-point loss against New York.
The good news, however, is that Maxey has not been listed on the 76ers’ injury report for Thursday’s Eastern Conference showdown against the Bucks. As such, he is fully expected to be available against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co.
Joel Embiid Still Without a Return Timetable
Embiid underwent surgery to address an issue in his left meniscus in February. He was initially expected to return after six to eight weeks, which means the far end of that timetable falls towards early April. The most recent update is that the reigning MVP has already started on-court workouts and is already back at a hundred percent in the weight room.
Be that as it may, Embiid will still be sidelined for a considerable period, leaving Maxey to shoulder most of the offensive load.
Now, with regard to the question of is Tyrese Maxey playing tonight vs. the Bucks, the answer, fortunately, is yes.
