The Milwaukee Bucks’ backcourt could be extremely undermanned on Thursday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. This is after both Patrick Beverley and Malik Beasley were both listed on the injury report ahead of Milwaukee’s first home game since March 4.
Right now, Bucks fans have been waiting to find out: Are Patrick Beverley and Malik Beasley playing tonight Vs. the 76ers?
Milwaukee Bucks’ Patrick Beverley, Malik Beasley in Danger of Missing 76ers Game
Beverley has not missed a game for his new team since joining the Bucks via a mid-season trade. Beasley, on the other hand, has only been out of action in two out of Milwaukee’s 66 games this season. As such, the fact that both of them have been added to the injury report for Thursday’s contest is noteworthy news.
For his part, Beverley is likely to suit up after being given the probable designation. The veteran guard is dealing with soreness in his right hip, but it does not seem significant enough to force him to miss the showdown against the same team that sent him packing right before the trade deadline.
Beasley, on the other hand, is in more danger of being forced to watch from the sidelines. He is currently considered questionable to play because of back spasms. If he’s unable to go, Pat Connaughton should take on most of the minutes available as he looks to support Damian Lillard in the backcourt.
So, with regard to the question of are Beverley and Malik Beasley playing tonight Vs. the 76ers, the answer remains to be seen. We will update this space as soon as there’s official word.
UPDATE: Beverley will play while Beasley has now been ruled out:
Per Bucks coach Doc Rivers:
Malik Beasley and MarJon Beauchamp are out.
Patrick Beverley is in.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is warming up. Rivers would not commit to Antetokounmpo being active yet. https://t.co/R0zv09zaIk
