A season ago Milwaukee Brewers slugger Willy Adames had the most home runs among all shortstops in the National League. His 31 home runs were quite impressive, but unfortunately he did not get on base at a high percentage (.298 in 2022) To begin the 2023 campaign he has been getting on base and is currently one game away from tying a career best on-base streak.
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames is one game away from tying a career best on-base streak.
On two separate occasions Willy Adames has reached base safely 14 consecutive games in a row. His current streak is at 13 games. Overall this season he has reached base safely in 22 out of the Brewers 23 games. The only game he did not reach base safely was April 10 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Willy Adames walks and his 13-game on-base streak is now tied for the second longest streak in his career. He reached in 13 straight games from 5/29-6/12, 2021. Adames has reached base in a career-high 14 straight games, twice in his career.#ThisIsMyCrew

Impressively Willy Adames is getting on base frequently due to his ability to draw walks. His longest hit streak this season is just three games. Adames is not known for being a patient hitter, but to begin the 2023 season he has a 14.4 walk percentage and he is the team leader in walks with 15.
Hopefully his success at the plate can continue and he sets a new career in consecutive games to reach base.
