The Milwaukee Brewers have 27 year old Owen Miller on their team. His younger brother Noah, who is 21 years old, is a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers. On Saturday, March 2 they were on the field playing against one another for the first time in their careers.
After the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers game both players spoke out on playing against one another.
The final score of the Brewers and Dodger spring training game was Los Angeles 11 and Milwaukee three. Noah entered the game as a pinch-runner in the sixth inning. He then remained in the game at shortstop while Owen was playing first base.
“It was the first time playing against each other, so it was pretty cool and a pretty exciting moment. It’s just a spring-training game, but hopefully someday we’ll be able to do it in a regular-season game or the playoffs.”
-Noah Miller
“It’s unbelievable. It’s pretty cool. Even though it’s a spring-training game, I’ll never forget that, talking to him before the game and him pinch-running at second.”
-Owen Miller
Owen and Noah Miller are Wisconsin natives.
Both Owen and Noah Miller attended Fredonia and Ozaukee High School. Owen played his college baseball at Illinois State and was a third round draft pick in 2018. Noah was selected 36th overall by the Minnesota Twins in 2021, but was traded to the Dodgers this off-season.
When do the Brewers and Dodgers play next?
Unfortunately this was their only meeting during spring training this year. The two teams won’t meet again until July 5, 2024 for the start of a three game set in Los Angeles. Noah Miller is currently not on the Dodgers 40-man roster, so there is no guarantee when they might next play against one another.
