The Milwaukee Brewers currently have one of the league’s top farm systems. MLB Pipeline recently raved about their prospects and gave them the second best overall ranking. They currently have a good blend of near MLB ready talent including but not limited to Tyler Black and Robert Gasser, a few that are likely a year or so away including Jackson Chourio, Jeferson Quero, Jacob Misiorowsk, and Carlos F. Rodriguez, and younger players that are a few years out such as Luis Lara, Josh Knoth, and Hendry Mendez, and Cooper Pratt.
Some exciting news from the Brewers today is that they are promoting one of their teenage prospects to High-A. The newest member of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers is their ninth ranked overall prospect. This is outfielder Luis Lara.

Luis Lara, an 18 year old who signed out of Venezuela in 2022, has had a tremendous season in Low-A Carolina this year. The switch hitter has a .285/.379/.354 slash line in which he has a 12.3% walk rate and a 14.5% k rate. To go along with all of this he also has stolen 22 bases.
As a member of the Timber Rattlers Lara will be one of two teenage outfielders on the roster with left-handed hitter Hendry Mendez being the other. This Wisconsin team is heavy in top prospects for a few weeks ago 2023 draft picks Brock Wilken and Mike Boeve joined the team as well.
There is about a month left in the Timber Rattlers regular season schedule. The final home game is Sunday, September 10, so be sure to go check out some of these players.
