Brent Rooker and his Oakland Athletics are in town for a weekend series against the Milwaukee Brewers. As is the case with most professional sports teams that are in town for a game, the A’s are staying at the famous (or infamous) Pfister Hotel. As many natives of Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin are aware, the Pfister is rumored to be haunted. Count A’s left fielder Rooker among the believers after something that he shared on Twitter just a few minutes ago.
In Town to Play the Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics Outfielder Posts about Ghost Encounter at Pfister Hotel
Just moments ago, Rooker posted the following on Twitter:
We’re at the notoriously haunted Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee but the only thing the ghosts are doing to me is randomly turning off/on or changing the channel on my TV which all in all doesn’t seem too bad so I’m okay with it.

Which he followed up with:
I’m more than happy to let them choose the channel as long as they’re cool otherwise.

Of course, Rooker is not the first Major League Baseball player to have an experience like this at the Pfister. Even former Milwaukee Brewers players Ji Man Choi and Mike Cameron have reported having ghost experiences while visiting Milwaukee with other teams. Several St. Louis Cardinals players slept in the room of pitcher Carlos Martinez a few years ago after he saw a ghost and refused to be left alone. WTMJ reported on the occurrence:
Describing what happened, a rough translation of the video indicates Martinez says “a ghost has appeared right here in the room.” The caption also mentions how he “can’t sleep alone” because of the “ghost in my room.”
The video is in Spanish, but it isn’t hard to tell that Martinez is a little frightened. It may only get worse for him as he takes the mound Thursday night against the Brewers.
Another WTMJ report, this one from earlier this season, reported that Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts rented an AirBnB instead of staying with his team at the Pfister. You know, just in case the rumors are true:
