Why did no other Milwaukee Brewers earn All-Spring Breakout honors?
Entering the Spring Breakout series weekend the Brewers had the second best Spring Breakout roster according to MLB.com. Despite this no other Milwaukee players made the All-Spring Breakout roster. This is due to a few reasons in which a big one is that selection criteria was based on a single game performance. Additionally the Brewers rotated through a lot of players and in seven inning games lots of their prospects received multiple at-bats. Due to this it was difficult for others to stand out.
How did other Brewers prospects perform in the Spring Breakout game?
Jackson Chourio stood out the most from the offensive side. He finished the game 1-3 and he had a RBI base hit. During his first at-bat he hit a rocket at the third baseman that was ruled an error, otherwise he potentially could have had a multi hit game.
Outside of Chourio Tyler Black also went 1-3 and had a triple. Jeferson Quero and Eric Brown Jr both had RBI walks. Pitching wise Ryan Middendorf was the only other pitcher with more than one strikeout, but he allowed three walks.
