The Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals were the last teams to play in Major League Baseball’s Spring Breakout event. For one game rosters were constructed of each organization’s top prospects and they squared off. Unfortunately the Brew Crew lost by a score of 4-3 and the game ended via a walk-off wild pitch.
Milwaukee Brewers prospects started the game off with a 3-0 lead.
During this contest the Brewers starters put them up three runs to zero by the fourth inning. They scored a run a piece in the first two innings and their last run came in the fourth. In the first and second innings both runs were scored via a bases loaded walk and in the fourth inning Jackson Chourio had a RBI base knock.
The Kansas City Royals scored four unanswered runs to win the game.
Kansas City scored runs at the bottom of the fourth, fifth, and seventh inning frames (this was a seven inning game). Trevor Werner homered off of Logan Henderson in the fourth, Brett Wichrowski was on the mound when two runs crossed in the fifth, and Justin Yeager gave up the game ending wild pitch in the seventh inning.

Hopefully Major League Baseball will bring Spring Breakout back in 2025. This event gave top prospects a chance to showcase their skills on a larger stage while still getting their spring training prep work done.
