That Friday the Brewers will be squaring off against the San Diego Padres. CC Sabathia will be honored in quite a few unique ways. Here is everything you need to know about that night.
- CC Sabathia will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
- There will be a pre-game acknowledgment ceremony.
- The first 20,000 fans will receive a commemorative poster with an iconic image of him capturing the final out during a complete game four-hitter against the Chicago Cubs.
Special recognition’s like this are always cool, but what CC Sabathia did for the Brewers organization in such a short period of time will never be forgotten. He made 17 starts for Milwaukee with all of them coming post trade deadline that included pitching on three days rest. His statistics over that stretch include 130 innings pitched, 1.65 ERA, seven complete games, three shutouts, and 11 wins.
CC Sabathia’s return to Milwaukee should draw a big crowd and it will be a special night for the Brewers.
