The Milwaukee Brewers made a few under the radar moves at this year’s trade deadline. They swapped out minor league catcher Alex Jackson for Tampa Bay Rays right-handed pitcher Evan McKendry and also parted ways with third baseman Luis Urias and received pitching prospect Bradley Blalock.
With Luis Urias’ departure an opportunity for a jersey number swap arose and one rookie wasted no time transitioning to wearing number two.
Milwaukee Brewers rookie Brice Turang has switched his jersey number from zero to two, which was previously worn by Luis Urias.
Prior to the Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates game Brewers senior director of media relations direction Mike Vassalo shared a picture of Brice Turang’s locker. Visible is his new jersey number.

A few other former Milwaukee Brewers players to wear number two include: Trent Grisham, Mauricio Dubon, Nate Orf, Nick Franklin, Scooter Gennett, Nyjer Morgan, Bill Hall, Jose Valentin, Randy Ready, Bob Heise, and Ted Savage.
Hopefully Brice Turang is able to hold on to this number for several years to come.
